This ‘before’ photo you see was taken in January 1990, right around the time of my 22nd birthday. I’m the guy on the left, with the puffy cheeks and the cigarette in hand. The look on my face tells you everything you need to know about where I was at back then: overweight, unhappy with myself over letting the unhealthy habits I had developed render me so badly out of shape, and painfully uncomfortable in my own skin as a whole.
Hey Andy – that was a fun trip (that’s me on the right stuffing potato chips down my throat followed by some beer!) Great memories, but no doubt you are a changed man from those days. Now let’s see the ‘after’ photo!
That’s coming next, my friend! Thanks again for the photo!
Wow, what a shot, Andy!!
Pretty wild, isn’t it, Miranda? When I first showed the photo to Cathy, her reaction was: “Is that YOU?!” I’m sure that nobody who knew me back then would have guessed in a million years that fitness, of all things, would end up being my passion. 🙂
All I can say is WOW! What a story this is going to be when you are flying in your arm balances and teaching yoga!! Anne
That WILL make a great ‘after’ photo, won’t it? 🙂
You must feel light-years better by now, Andy! Talk about someone who’s turned his life around for the better, and is ready to help others do the same. Yay for YOU!
Nance, I feel as though my devotion to health and fitness has given me a completely new lease on life. Thanks for checking out my blog, and thanks for commenting. I appreciate the support!
Hard to believe that’s you! What inspired you to change?
That seems to be the general consensus, Tanya. Even my wife couldn’t believe that was me! As far as what inspired me to change is concerned, that’s what I’m working on next. Stay tuned… 😉
Hey Andy! this is so impressive! what made you turn around 180 degrees? It is a big WOW!
Funny that you should ask that, Pat: After I finish telling the story of how my transofrmation took place, I intend to delve more deeply into why. Stay tuned… 😉
FANTASTIC tranformation…you rock!
Glad you think so, Jen! Truth be told, I feel every bit as differently on the inside as I look on the outside!
